Different types of dental emergencies

  • Knocked-out teeth – This dental emergency indeed needs immediate attention. First, you will need to pick up the knocked-out tooth by its crown. Then you will have to rinse off the teeth to ensure that it is clean. Do not scrub off any tissues attached to it. Then try to place the teeth back into the socket, in case you cannot do that then keep the tooth in a container full of milk. Then you will need to call your dentist immediately so that he can help you out with the situation.

  • Loose teeth – In case you notice a loose tooth or tooth that is out of alignment, then contact your dentist immediately for an appointment. You can try to put a little pressure and place the tooth back to its original place with your finger, but never force it.

  • Chipped or Fractured teeth – Teeth that have been cracked, chipped or fractured will definitely need immediate attention. This is because chipped teeth might not hurt you but it might chip more in case you apply pressure to it while biting.
